The firm was founded in 2019 by Doug Hanly, MBA, CFA, CAIA who was previously on the investment teams managing over $20 billion in aggregate assets under management at institutions including Mass General Brigham and Washington University in St. Louis. After meeting with over 1,000 investment managers from around the world, Doug compiled a strategy that applied the best parts of the best investment managers. While attending UCLA Anderson School of Management, Doug applied ENI's investment strategy to the UCLA Anderson Fund and generated the highest returns of all time. ENI was featured as a rising star in the Los Angeles Business Journal and selected as one of the Most Disruptive Startups in the country by Poets & Quants.
In 2022, the firm partnered with the CAIA Association to form the Global Diversity Fund, a program that provides students of historically marginalized communities with mentorship and and opportunities in the investment management industry.
